UAE construction group Ecolog names new VP

UAE-based Ecolog, a leading provider of supply chain, construction, technology, facility management, and environmental services, has appointed Adil Toubia as its new vice chairman and chief executive officer.

As a well-recognized global executive in the oil and gas industry, Toubia brings to Ecolog a wealth of experience and a long list of recognized achievements, said the company in a statement.

His stellar background perfectly aligns with Ecolog’s strategic development and vision to become the pacesetter in its field of activities.

Ecolog, currently working in more than 35 countries, provides turnkey and customized support solutions to governments, defence, humanitarian organizations and commercial clients in the sectors of oil and gas, mining, energy and infrastructure.

Toubia is the former worldwide president of the Wireline and Drilling divisions at Schlumberger, the leading global oilfield services company, where he worked for more than two decades and held various executive roles.

From 2012 to 2014, Toubia was Global CEO of Siemens Oil & Gas Division. He last served as Group CEO of Al Ghurair Investment.

He had previously held top executive positions with Energy Capital Group and GCC Energy Fund, private equity firms making investments in the energy and power sectors.

Welcoming Toubia into the fold, Nazif Destani, the founder and chairman of Ecolog, said: "We are very pleased to have found the perfect individual to steer us into deeper specialisation and optimisation as we continue our global expansion."

“His vast knowledge and proven track record make him uniquely qualified to lead Ecolog during this exciting time of growth,” he added.

On his new role, Toubia said: "I am delighted to join Ecolog and totally committed to our company reaching market leadership and becoming the most recognized name in our industry."

"I’m very impressed with the company’s global expansion and its growing list of contracts, and I plan to build on the good initiatives already launched," he added.

A leading global provider of customized camp facility and infrastructure services, Ecolog has successfully performed over 1,100 projects since the start of the company two decades ago.

It boasts an extensive network of operations of more than 150 locations and with about 12,000 people actively available in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.-TradeArabia News Service
