Bahrain Tourism launches UK and France offices

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has launched its representative offices in the UK and France in the presence of its CEO Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa and the accompanying delegation.

The launch of the representative offices comes in line with the Authority's strategic outreach and recently launched brand 'Ours Yours' aimed at promoting Bahrain as the ideal tourism destination to the regional and international markets further positioning the Tourism industry as a main contributor to the overall economic growth synonymous to the Economic Vision 2030.

During the launch of the representative offices, BTEA took the opportunity to meet the trade tourism press and trade professionals to introduce the strategy of the kingdom.

The main trade media and trade tourism professionals attended the events to further discover Bahrain as a destination. During the events, they also met BTEA’s representatives and the team from the representative offices.

Further commenting on the launch, Shaikh Khaled, CEO of BTEA said: “Bahrain has a strong and long standing relationship with the UK and France and it became natural for us, while developing our global tourism strategy, to include the British and French market as a priority inbound market."

"International travellers are eager for new experiences therefore the unique positioning of our destination combining high standards and authenticity will meet their expectations. We’re happy to see that the British and French trade actors are very curious about what Bahrain has to offer and willing to work closely with us, which looks positive for the upcoming months and years," he said.

In order to lead its promotion toward trade tourism and media, BTEA appointed the tourism expert agency Interface Tourism and will count on the support of the team in Paris and Hills Balfour to lead its efforts in the UK.

BTEA will also exhibit at the main European trade tourism show ITB Berlin from March 8 to 10 to further promote the kingdom as the ideal tourism destination. - TradeArabia News Service
