Mapei to display latest systems at Saudi event

Mapei Construction Chemicals, a leader in manufacturing of adhesives, sealants and chemical products for the building industry, will display its latest systems and solutions at the Stone & Surface Saudi show, in Saudi Arabia, tomorrow (April 4).

The three-day event runs until April 6, at the the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events, in Jeddah.

The exhibition is the kingdom’s only event aiming at bringing together the industry’s material and machinery suppliers with specification and procurement decision makers.

Mapei will be sharing some of their most recent product innovations, showcasing a number of developed systems and solutions for waterproofing, installations and renovations of surfaces like ceramics, porcelain tiles, concrete and mosaics, said a statement from the company.

Stefano Iannacone, regional director for the Middle East and East Africa states, Mapei Construction Chemicals, said: “Saudi Arabia is one of the Gulf’s biggest construction markets which we are considering for our business.”

“Ever since 2016, our company has been focused on increasing its presence within the Saudi Arabian market due to both its size and enormous potential. At the moment, the construction market is continuously growing and that has been a huge encouraging factor for us to move forward with projects within that region,” he said.

Some of the products that Mapei will highlight during the exhibition:

•Mapelastic AquaDefense: A ready-to-use, ultra-quick drying, flexible liquid membrane for internal & external waterproofing applications.

•Ultrabond Eco 4 LVT: Fibre-reinforced LVT adhesive. Specifically developed for the installation of LVT floorings, it guarantees the highest performances in terms of adhesion and dimensional stability.

•Adesilex P9: A high performance cementitious adhesive with no vertical slip and extended open time for ceramic tiles.

•Keraflex: A high performance cementitious adhesive, with no vertical slip and extended open time for ceramic tiles and stone material.

•Ultracolor Plus: Ultracolor Plusis a cementitious mortar for grouting improved, with reduced water absorption and high resistance to abrasion, class CG2WA.
Iannacone added: “The Saudi Government, like us, have an optimistic outlook on the future of the construction market and has been focusing their attention on the country's infrastructure.”
