Jeddah hotels posted a strong performance across key performance metrics in September, recording its highest jump in revenue per available room (RevPAR) at 16.2 per cent to SR855.49 ($228).
Average daily rate (ADR) also increased 12.3 per cent to SR1,218.79 ($324.8) in September while occupancy went up 3.5 per cent to 70.2 per cent.
STR analysts note that these performance increases are in comparison with a very weak September 2016. Jeddah recorded particularly strong performance levels during the IDC CIO summit, with RevPAR growth above 100 per cent for September 27-28.
Additionally, supply and demand in Dubai showed significant increases in September, going up 14.2 per cent and 18.2 per cent respectively. - TradeArabia News Service
