Construction on the 720,000-sq-m Jeddah waterfront corniche is entering its final phase, the largest in the project's development, said a report.

The Jeddah project boasts the longest pedestrian bridge in Saudi Arabia, connecting the Corniche and Prince Faisal bin Fahd Road, reported Arab News.

It will also feature three beaches for swimming, a 480-m sea wall, five beach control towers and a 125-m-long fishing pier with 15 umbrellas and six family restaurants, a marina for small boats and a floating dock besides 14 fountains, four of which are interactive and dancing fountains, stated the report.

The other facilities include 120 toilets, 24 kiosks, and a control and surveillance centre equipped with 120 high-resolution cameras with facial recognition technology, it added.
